It's probably because it's a black vehicle. IMHO, that black diffuser panel on the back needs to be in contrast with the vehicle color. Otherwise, the rear end looks like a huge wall. Depth is kind of hard to judge on a black (or white) vehicle, so maybe that's why it looks so bland? Paint the car blue, leave the diffuser black, and voila! White would work too...
I think the trailer hitch is a bit comical, but I guess they have to make sure once they put in the owner's book that the Camaro can tow "1,000 lbs" that it really can. Someone will always try.

Guys, the trailer hitches are there primarily to pull tow-behind dynos. These let them load up the vehicle as though it were going up and down grades and such, even on straight ground.
Generally speaking, they aren't there so they can practice pulling jet skis around.

no, you are not the only one.. you are in the minority though.. seems like most people love these latest shots, especially of the black car.. it has even brought some back who were iffy after the first few spy shots
