Weight distribution

Weight distribution
Hey guys, remember when we all heard that the V6 has better weight distribution than the SS?
Well, if the official web site is to be believed, we were all told wrong. It gives the following specs:
V6 M6: 51.8/48.2
V6 A6: 52.2/47.8
V8 M6: 51.8/48.2
V8 A6: 52.2/47.8
That's right -- it's the transmission that makes the difference, not the engine. Better yet, there is only a 0.4% difference between the two, and your worst option is still damn good!
In the past, I've helped defend people planning on buying the V6 in part based on its superior weight distribution. I won't be doing that any more.

I understand that most everyone believes that a "pony car" should have a V8 in it, but not everyone wants a V8 for whatever the reasons are. I know that when I buy one of these new Camaros, I will be getting a V8 because this will be new first NEW, so I want to have it loaded up! Though, the thought of getting a V6 has been there with me the whole time just because of the price difference. I can get pretty much every option I want and get it with a V6 and pay about 10k less. I'm sorry, but that is alot of money to consider!! AND, I don't even want to hear it at all that it has anything to with not being able to afford it, because I could walk in right now and pay cash (unlike lot of people) and get the loaded V8 car today. The idea is, there is alot of things I can do with 10K at my age, and still have a sweet car, even if it has a V6.
Please, can everyone that reads this, stop giving people crap for buying a V6 Camaro. Let people get what THEY want, which is half the fun of buying a new car. You can get whatever YOU want.
People, aren't we all Camaro fans here, we should be supporting any and everyone out there that wants to buy this Camaro and keep both the car and GM alive!!!! In fact, it is better for GM that people are buying the V6 cars over the V8 cars in some case, because I'm sure there is some kind of tax benefit for it. Plus that is there directed audience for this car so that they can bring in new customers to both Camaro and to GM

I'm not giving anybody crap. I'm just saying that I will no longer use superior weight distribution as an argument in the V6's favor, since it's not the case.

Hmmm. Interesting. I didn't think there would be much of a difference if any, but I am surprised that they are identical. I honestly doubt that this is truly the case, but as I said in one of the other threads the difference wouldn't have been significant to really matter, just like with the 98+ 4th Gens.
