Watch....The SS will be set at a certain HP rating, but when put on a dyno, it's RWHP will magically be more to the crank HP rating

 

Supposedly under the new SAE method that shouldnt happen anymore.

Its a shame the 4th gen died before the new SAE ratings, I would love to see where they put the LS1 horsepower.

So lemme see if i get this...Lutz is basically saying that the Ls7 is there for use if the need arises?? That Chevy will consider using the Ls7 in the camaro??

Nice. With the GT500 having 475hp, i think the camaro would most definitly need the Ls7. Bob better keep true to his promise.

 

Not to mention the challenger is probably gonna be over 2 tons...

 

I wonder if an LS7 could be used for a Camaro... cheaply. I mean.. We don't need dry sump oil system, forged titanium rods, cnc ported heads..

I wonder if there could be a business case for it?

 

Maybe for a real low run (hard to get) 2nd year ringer like a ZL1 or something of that nature. Or a REAL Z/28.
