What do you want in CamaroBuilder, version 2?

If you don't already know about CamaroBuilder, read this thread first:

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=642684

I expect to have some time this weekend, and I'm planning on dedicating most of it to improving CamaroBuilder. The following are already on my wish list:

Bug Fixes
1. Add VYO - Orange Stripe, which is currently missing from the list.
2. Make it so that you can't choose the Hurst Shifter if you get an automatic.
3. Fix weird behavior that occurs when you select and then deselect the W1H interior accent package.
4. Find/fill in missing RPO codes (V6 manual trans, Summit White paint, several wheels)

Usability Improvements
1. Reduce vertical scrolling
2. Show the "breakdown" section on the side, so that you can see it as you go.

New Features
1. Pictures of the colors, wheels, interiors, and anything else I can find pictures of.
2. Show all of the included features of the various packages, and generate a complete list of features included as you build the car.
3. If I can find prices and part numbers, add in the GMPP options like the hotcam, catback exhaust, and shorty headers.

I can't promise to get to all of the above, and these lists are not even remotely prioritized. However, I'm very interested to hear what other improvements you guys would like.

I broke the list up into sections and renumbered it. Mind clarifying?

Possibly a link next to some of the options to discussions. For example, when you select SS, and the blues dim, a link could appear "Why can't I get a blue SS?" Click the link and it takes you to the forum thread on it. For simple things it could just go to the FAQ.

Thanks for the work on this, I already went through for my car and posted it at my desk

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. I'm always up for making things more interactive.

Another new feature: I want to include invoice and employee pricing information.

As per the idea of adding an image of what your camaro looks like, I was trying to rebuild use of that ridebuilder thing a guy whose name escapes me now made back when the first camo-less images leaked of the white model.

http://www.ridebuilder.com/rb/fun/camaroPainter.html

I'm not sure how you would be able to incorporate that into active selection...

Sidenote on that ridbuilder thing, I don't think it's free, thta may not help...

Thanks for that link. Unfortunately, I don't think those colors are quite right, but it's definitely a start. I'll have to get in touch with the author...

It is very good already. I tried to do a build and couldn't see how to get the 20" polished wheels on a 2LT/RS. Did I miss something?

Location specific sales taxes.

Any fees or misc charges.

That's not a valid selection. The polished 20" wheels are available only on SS models, and only without the RS package.

If you get the RS package, you get the midnight silver wheels. No other options.

There's no way I can predict what fees or miscellaneous charges a particular dealer might try to charge.

I could add a sales tax calculator (you enter the %), and maybe a loan payment calculator...

Put the convertible option in there at about 4 to 5K. I am assuming it will be a cloth top with power up and down. That way all of us that are waiting for a Vert have something to play around with.
