What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
Fourth gen.
We just finished our 11 day, 5,000 mile, 3 province, 9 state, round trip to a wedding in Edmonton and the Camaro/Firebird gathering in Bowling Green, more than 1/2 of it top down. 6 years and almost 70,000 miles later, we are enjoying the SS more than ever.

1st gen - cool, but they didn't call it camaro craft for nothing.
2nd gen - the best, up until about 1973 or 74 ,although there are a few 1980ish cars that I kinda like, however a 70-1/2 to 71 or 72 Z/28 is friggin sweeeeeet. Firebirds until 75 and up, especially a formula 400 with that twin snorkel hood, yummy.
3rd gen, I wouldn't pull out my you know what to save one from burining down. Had I never had an encounter with a 86 IROC, I might be kinder. although I did like the last of the 3rd gen firebirds (well okay, the 3rd gen did have one bright spot with the turbo V6 anniversary pontiac)
4th gen, LT-1 was cool, much respect for the LS-1 cars, just not my cup of tea visually.

See sig
1st gens- meh, See one, seen 'em all. They're everywhere at car shows and I don't give a second look usually.
2nd gen- 70-73 love the curves
3rd gen-Later model Irocs and Z28's are sweet. The convetibles are nice cruisers. They're still trying to pull out of the redneck scene though.
4th gen- as ordinary as a mustang unless it's an SS. 96-97 SS definatley the best looking 4th gen, actually maybe even the top of my list for looks.

First gen. Without a doubt the most beautiful and classic (as in timeless, not just old) of all Camaros. The '67s doubly so.
I've never owned one or even ridden inside one. But from what I've seen of them in original form, no other Camaro can stand on level ground next to a '67 in the looks dept.

I prefer owning a 4th gen but 3rd gens will always command the most respect from me. I always give honks and thumbs up to 3rd genners =]

1st gen's could have had it if there were more around.
2nd gen's - Hardly ever see one, and when I do they usually arent a nice early 70s version
3rd gen's - Grew up loving them, started driving with them, will always want one
4th gen's - Not my first choice, but so easy to go fast in a daily driver.

3rd Gen !!

There is nothing that excites me more then when my uncle takes me for a ride in his modded 69 z28, powershifts the manual 4-speed and leaves twin black marks radiating that pleasing rubber aroma.

3rd gen without a doubt!!!!!!!!!
my first car(which is still in my garage) was an 86 Z28 black/red stripe/ silver with oxblood/black interior. it was a VIN-G 305cid with a 700r4(both of those are LOOOOOOOOONG gone now) it only had 36,00 miles on it the day i bought it(58,000 on the speedo right now, 100 or so of that on the 383 and beefed up 700 in there now). i love that car. i will NEVER get rid of it. my 4th gen is a monster but my 86 will always be cooler. i grew up around Fox body 5.SLOWS and IROC Zs and it totally had an effect on how much i love cars today. i got respect for 1st and 2nd gens, but i would take a 3rd gen Z28 or IROC over them ANYDAY!!!!!!!!

A Camaro is a Camaro I love them all. 1969,70 1/2, IROC-Z, 87-92 Z,all 4th gen especially SS who can't love a NBM SS or 35th Annv. are some notable ones

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?
Owning nothing but 3rd gens right now, an IROC and a GTA, I can see why some say 3rd gen. The styling of the 3rd gen goes back to the 1st gen roots for cues.
The blacked out rear facia, and grilled tail-lights.
The wider stance and longer hood with grills in it.
But it also went the way of a lot of cusomizers at the time, lowering the stance, monochromatic paint, molded front and rear bumpers, and graphics, large alloy wheels(@ the time). And then you had the NASCAR influence. The lowered spindles, ground effects, low pro tires, full instrumentation, oversized sway bars, strut suspension etc...
The the Revolutionary TPI set up(then), looked like it belonged on a space shuttle..
I have to say, it's a very close 2nd or toss up...
There's just that feeling you get when driving a 1st gen tho, hard to describe..
(Especially when powered by a BIG rumbling 396!)
