First gen, I only think my fourth gen looks better than the first gens

 

I'm very fond of the early 2nd gen Camaros, but I hate the later ones (can't remember which year the cutoff is exactly ). I like clean 3rd gens fairly well, but they don't just blow my mind or anything. I like 4th gens a little better than 3rd, but again, they don't exactly make me warm and fuzzy. I guess 1st gens are still my favorite, even though I see a million of them at every car show. As cliche as it is, it's hard to beat a perfect '69 Camaro.

I love to drive the 4th gens , so much so Im building another one . A 94 Z28 . But nothing gets me more worked up than a later model 3rd gen . Maybe because thats what was hot when I was a kid and didnt have my liscence , I dunno . Someday I WILL have a perfect 91 bright blue 1LE , or a 92 Quazar Blue Z 1LE sitting in my garage .

My vote goes 3rd gens easily .

 

I love all Camaro's (actually all F-Bodies for that matter).

I remember when the '82 Camaro first came out. I did not know what to think. Did not think it could get any better than the '81. Wow!
My mom bought a '84 Sport Coupe which latter became my first car.
While abusing it in high school, I dreamed of owning a new IROC.
In December '91 I bought my first (and only to this point) new car.
Black '91 Z28. Should have never let her go.
I love the power of my '94 and want a '01 or '02 SS so BAD.
But, the looks of the fourth gen just were not as mean as the third.
My current '91 is beautiful but will never live up to my first '91.
In my opinion the '91-92 Z28's are the meanest looking car and the ultimate in Camaro looks. Especially in black.

 

I do. Anything between 74 and 81 is nasty, with few exceptions (like Dustin's car).

 

I picked 3rd gens probably since my first Camaro was a 3rd gen. I just love the styling of them even if they were underpowered. My dream ride would have to be a LS1/T56 3rd gen. Best of both worlds.

 

Exactly. Dustin's car looks good because it's a nice color combination, in good condition, and has great wheels. If it was stock I doubt I'd like it at all. (Sorry Dustin. )

 

The only bad years were 74-77 with asthmatic V8s and those big ugly chrome bumpers.

 

2nd gen.. more specifically 79-81

i had a hotwheels toy of that model.. and it was my favorite hot wheels.. that's what got me into loving camaros.. and that will always be my favorite look..

1st car i have owned. 2nd i fell in love with.
Pluss i think it looks mean. No mistaking it for anything else

 

i love those as well, IROC-Zs are some nice looking cars.. i may even put that second behind the 79-81 2nd gen.. then after that it'd be 1st gens..

4th gens would probably be next.. LS1 is better than LT1

 

I couldn't agree more. Sometimes when I'm driving in town people stop and ask me if my car is brand new. ????????? ???????????????? But the best thing is when I see a 30 something look at me and I see the the look on his face when he remembers the 80s.

 

I saw a black one in Montgomery, NY. The only other 91/92 Z28 I've ever seen on the road. Almost made me want to repaint my car.

 

I've had many of all gens. I love 1st gens,like 2nd gens. and really never liked 3rd gens.I'm a 4th gen believer tho,I think its the most rounded as far as straight line,corner and all around perfromance.
