Or the 87 in red/grey, loaded, and with the L98. The looks, sound, handling, and overall performance is the definition of Camaro and one of the funnest cars you can ever own.

Re: What Gen Camaro makes your feel the most warm and fuzzy?

IF I had to decide, here's how my list would be.

1.) 3rd gen v8 convertible (black on black preferably)
2.) any 91-92 v8 car due to the ground effects and refinement. They are the best looking of the 3rd gens in my book.
3.) a 67 Camaro, love the triangle windows and the key cylinder on the dash
4.) 70-73 something about the split bumper just looks MEAN
5.) 4th gen 01-02 in Sunset Orange Metallic with the RS ground Effects..

Interestingly enough, I happen to be fortunate enough to own the following :
1.) 89 Camaro RS Convertible Black/Black/Black
2.) 92 RS Purple Haze, Was a 3.1v6 when i got her, now its something entirely different.
3.) 01 Sunset orange metallic Z28 with the rs ground effects. Signed by Scott at G9 in atlanta last year.

I loke many ive read in this thread hope to own one of each body style. I perhaps am one of the many that like to have the basic design of the cars, but modifiy them to make them mine. So no pure restores for me. Im gonna make them unique.

Camaros to me, are my passion. I enjoy driving them, working on them, seeing them, riding in them.. etc. I dont know how or why i have such a love for these cars, but i do know that it only has gotten stronger with the years. Luckily Im still relativly young, (30) and have a wife who loves them too even if she doesnt like to drive them she loves to ride in them. I think overall though, the camaro is just as the name states.. a friend. more than that even, its a member of the family.

One time my wife told me that the only way my purple 92 would leave the family is if the hand of god came down and took it. I asked her what would she do if I were to sell the purple or the orange cars, and she said she'd leave me.. sooo.. im VERY lucky in these respects.

There is no better looking Camaro than the 70-73 models with the split front bumper. To me, that is the quintessential Camaro.
I think it would be hard to adopt those cues into a modern car, however.

For me, its more like lust. Truly a hard call: they all do it (see sig), but some more than others. The '69 was/is my all time favorite (though I dont feel that way about the other 1st gens), followed by the 4th gen (specifically the 98-02 SS) then the 91-92 Z28 for 3rd gen. The "steel bumper" 2nd gen cars I like, but Im really starting to seriously consider buying a "rubber bumper" (78-81 Z28). I loved each gen, though when the 4th gen came out in 93, I really thought the Trans Am was better looking. It took a couple of months before the Camaro made my heartbeat quicken....

When I see a clean IROC, I can't help but get excited. By far my favorite Camaro. Sure, my LS1s were way faster, but there was a feeling that I never had like the one I did when I had my IROC... maybe it was just because I was in HS when I had my IROC

T-tops and a L98 are all you need to wear the mullet correctly!

well i'm a little biased here but since i was 18 i was paying off my 98 v6 camaro, then in 2001 i had my y2k ss, and in 03 i got my 02 z28 so i'd have to say 4th gen :-D

As the owner of a 1999 Z28 I have to say I love the fourth gen.
But I was 16 years old in 1985 and when I first saw a brand new yellow
85 IROC-Z I thought that was the car to have so I must go with the third generation.

I voted 1st gen. IMO, no camaro can compete lookswise with clean, good looking '69 Camaro, whether it be Z28, SS, or an RS package (Im partial to the RS/Z28 package myself). I grew up loving 3rd gens (esp IROCs and 90-92 Z28s) and of course 4th gens as well (first camaro) but I think the first gen is a perfect representation of the Camaro.

I agree completely. 78-81 wasnt so bad. A good buddy of mine had an 81 Z28 for awhile and say what you will but that car turned heads everywhere. Black on black, 4 speed and a loud rumbly exhaust, that was a fun car to go cruising in or pick up the girls in.
