What about those guys that daily drive cars on race gas, who are already paying 9.90$ a gallon.

I know a few of them, actually.

I probably won't be able to afford one until its been out atleast five years, I'll let gas prices then decide which model to get. I wouldn't feel bad about getting a v6, though.

I would still get a V8 with $5.00 a gal. Maybe at $8 I will have to think about it hard.... but I still would not buy a V6. I think I would just buy a used cobra or something...

Iran refuses to stop its nuclear ambitions and could have enough material for a bomb by early-mid 2009 and is trying to acquire the S-300 SAM's from Russia. Israel stated in the Jerusalem Post that Iran can not acquire this system and must be stopped at all costs, and the recent exercises show they mean business. What this leaves is a narrow window for diplomacy with EU sanctions making things worse. Forget $5 a gallon gas, $6+ could be a real possibility if things are not diffused soon and G.M. right down the toilet with it.

If we start talking $10/gal, I'll get one of those bicycle cart/cab thingies and pay a hooker to haul me around town - it will be cheaper than gas.

I want the new Camaro to be a monster, but I'm not really too worried about gas. If you are really worried you probably won't buy either. And look at the 4th gens,, I still say that moderatly driven (not possible) the v8s got better mileage than the v6 cars. T56 for me.

Hell just cruising my 95 still gets better hiway mileage than my 05 GT or 03 Silverado.

Same here in S.K..I drive my 99 GTP to work which gets 25.5 mpg city/hiway(well over 30 CDN) and besides my 94 only is pleasure driven and every thing is relativelas my 94 is way better on fuel than my 79z..Btw the more gas goes up the more us gearheads want to make our vehicles more efficient,w/more mods, etc

You should buy one now then because by summer 2010 gasoline will be in the $8-$10 range and there might be a made rush into bicycles. Cost of hookers should be about the same as now, maybe less as people look for extra work to pay for fuel.

i dont know if you noticed, but "big v8's" pretty much died off a lil ways back. we're pretty much stuck with small blocks at this point.
