What other packages of Camaro should there be? My vote would be for a "Drag Pack" Camaro. Equip it like this, from the factory:

Drag Radials
Drag specific shocks and springs
Launch control
Optional rear seat delete

Sorry, but that's ridiculous. Very few would buy that if produced.

I dont think it would be a good idea if Chevy did it but maybe if a dealer did it might sell.

That's the problem with special editions. It cannot be too special or only a small, select group of people will buy them and it would not generate any revenue.

However...the recent XM package doesn't seem to make my argument very solid.

How about the return of the 1LE?

I don't understand why you guys say no one will buy it. Do you know how popular drag racing is? It is so much more popular than road racing, yet there is a special Mustang available for that.

Im kinda hoping 1LE has more life than a limited editon.

Im hoping the line up break down looks something like this

ZL1 = ZR1
Z06 = Z28
SS1LE = Grand Sport
SS = Base Vette

I for one like this idea. I am in the minority wanting a live axle out back instead of the independent.

Well based on the rumor on of GM - the following are most likely.

Camaro LS - the new Eco base model.

Camaro Z/28 - Chevy answer to the Boss Mustang

Transformer edition - Paint & Body kit - specially released for Transformers 3.
Camaro ZL1 - Chevy's answer to the Shelby GT500.

And likely a few others.

Don't forget they said there would be a different "synergy series" each model year.

Quite frankly I think they could make a lot more money if they expanded the accessories available for all the models they currently have "planned." e.g. how many would take advantage if they offered a dealer installed carbon fiber hood?

I'd also like to see them expand the colors and materials available for the interior.

I think a special executive version that you can have on any color combination would be nice. Better interior materials and some other goodies.. kind of what the dusk concept was about.

IROC doesn't exist any more, plus it has a bit of a bad stereotype.

A properly done Z/28 negates the need for the 1LE. The 1LE only came into existence because the Z/28 had lost it's way.
