Other than the v6, Z28 and SS models it would be nice if there was:
  • RS if it was like the 1st gen. That you could get RS on any Camaro. As a cosmetic package (bigger wheels, ground effects, spoiler, hood)

Not exactly correct if you're trying to do it like it was done 67-69, first gen. RS had nothing to do with bigger wheels, ground effects, spoiler, hood. The biggest difference was that the RS had foldaway headlights, the rest was an upgraded trim package. Spoilers (front and rear) were an upgrade that I think was available on all Camaros, the special cowl induction hood was also a seperate deal, the only 67-69 Camaros with larger wheels were the Z/28s with 15" wheels, all other Camaros including SS and RS had 14" wheels. Just trying to keep it close to historically correct. Now that does not mean that you couldn't do it differently today.

I haven't read through quite all of these, but as far as naming goes, people won't buy something with a lame name, even if it's a badass car....Most of the reason why people are in groups like this message board, or even buy cars like a CORVETTE is because of the name....Chevy has made a few names for them already, let's stick with what works......RS, Z28, SS is a must, RS solely being appearance, and SS (which used to bow down to Z28) now being the top dog for the average buyer.....in saying this, keep in mind the rumors of a possible SS badge on a new vette.....Chevy should definately keep consistency with their new badge naming.....even the SS truck is supposed to be a better truck then the Z-71

as far as super performance packages go, I would DEFINATELY like to see a ZL1 as it's a true CAMARO build, but it looks unlikely unless they want to share success with corvette (better package than Z06)

it would also be a dream for Callaway to comeback with a camaro package, but that seems highly unlikely since they didn't sell too many packages for the 4th gens and they are an outside company like Saleen.....

Maybe we should be looking for a new company to sponsor their own camaro like Lingenfelter, instead of just offering aftermarket for them

Thats what I'm hoping for.
I know Scott has mentioned that the TA got preferencial treatment from GM. Will there be any chance of seeing some of the stuff Pontiac did carry over to the 5th Gen? e.g. three or four fascias, more than one or two spoilers, a Turbo Pace car (hint hint hint etc.
