What are you going to do when you get your Camaro

Re: What are you going to do when you get your Camaro
As ours will be for the wifey (me gets the Z06 ), the only thing we'll do is get all the dealer stickers, license frame, and other crap off the car, tint it dark, coat of Zaino, and load the cd changer. That will be it.
Oh, and she wants the basest V8 she can get, V6 Camaros don't cut it for her, no matter how good the V6 is. I love this woman!

And i dont really think it matters that im new. So dont act like im 16. I probably older than you.
I am fully aware that Chevy can be an SS. And that only Z28's are Camaros.
But im also fully aware that the last gen had the SS as the top dog. So think about that, ive read all the argument threads about this topic, and frankly i think its a waste of time.
Now with that said, I HOPE that the Z/28 is the top dog, because chevy has watered down the SS badge by putting it on every damn car they have lately, and i think a car with the legend and history of the Camaro deserves its own designation for the top model.
But im just saying, with they way Chevy has been labeling thier cars lately, I think that the middle of the road will be the Z, and the top dog will be the SS.
But just remember that All SS's are Z/28's...So if i get the top model and it says SS on it, I will certainly be adding my Z/28 badges with much quickness.

Dont take all of that off AFTER you get the car. WHEN YOU ORDER IT, and it is coming to the dealer, TELL THEM BEFORE to leave all that off, when i ordered my Vette, i ordered it with no front plate frame, no tint, no dealer tags, no dealer installed accessories, i didnt even let them wash it. And they did exactly as i said. So you dont even have to worry about wasting your time, just drive.
Also, its not good to wax a brand new paint job. Wait about 45-90 days for the paint to fully cure in the outdoor elements.

The Z/28 (which wasn't an SS), was the beasty I really wanted though.

And, btw, i am not trying to turn this into an SS vs. Z/28 thread, i think that argument is pointless, as i stated earlier, and i also stated my thoughts on the topic.
All i want to know is what you guys want to do to your car.

Buying the car will probably soak up all of my disposable income, so I probably won't be adding very much to it besides gas. Plus, my IROC will still get my spare cash.

I wasn’t attacking you buddy or talking down to you, nor do I care how old you are,
I was just repeating what I’ve been told.
I really must be the biggest ******* on this board

As for me? I'm just going to drive it until the wheels fall off!

That goes for me too honestly. Tint the windows, MAYBEE have the engine retuned to what the Vette is or better. Ive done the base car twice over, I want the V8 this time...
When 05 Mustang came out, hotrod did an article on Flowmasters on the Mustang. It lost power! Who the hell wants to spend money for no gain and a nice sound? Load a recording of a Top Fuel car onto your Ipod and be done with it

Now, go get that same mustang, put some headers on it, the same flowmaster exhaust and then tune it...i bet you gain alot of power. Shoot, i bet you could just tune it with just the exhaust on and it would gain back the power and get even more. Its all about making everything work and flow with one another.
You can just put one mod on and expect the car to run properly without being tuned right ya know
