Decision will be made this month. People are holding their breath and crossing their fingers. They want to build it, but it's all about money for GM right now. It's tight.

Untill the Delphi deal is struck and some other deals are made with the UAW, new Holdens to launch and the new trucks launch. GM has a full plate.

GM will not anounce anything, becuase they have real work to settle before they worry about the Camaro. We may all love the Camaro but GM needs to put food on the table and pay the bills first. They do more than just cater to Camaro followers.

Re: Whats with this drought of new information?

GM does have plenty on their plate right now, and the fact that Camaro is progressing as quickly as it is can be considered nothing short of a miracle.

Look at all the things that's coming out even before Camaro's earliest release date:

Saturn Aura
the new Chevrolet Malibu
Buick Enclave
GMC Acadia
Saturn Outlook
Saturn's Astra
the new Cadillac CTS
the reskined Cadillac STS
the new Cadillac SRX
GMT900 Pickup trucks
the new Pontiac's GTO
Buick Roadmaster
Pontiac's "Commodore"

Then throw in the numerous performance versions that GMHPD is working on for Buick, Saturn, Chevrolet, even Hummer (just off the top of my head: HHR-SS, Corvette Stingray, Lecerne Ultra, a V8 Lacrosse, Aura Redline, & a performance Chevy Silverado) and you wonder where anyone has time to do anything.

Keep in mind that all this stuff is scheduled to hit the streets within the next 36 months!

I have a feeling GM is going to be doing a little better in the next 36months looking at that line-up.... really looking forward to the VE's coming over and a performance truck.

That's the plan.
Clarification please,

my thoughts for a rlease date were still focused on mid/late 2008, unless I misread your post in this thread,

your saying that these other GM products will be released over the next 36 months and before the new Camaro?

Are we talking model year or actually on the street?
