I support GM and the decision of this (and others) website. They can not post these images. First off, they are of a rough concept, and the photos were probally take over a year ago. The images are of the clay car. For those who have seen them, there are 2 halves to the car where they experimented with different designs. You can also notice the stands under the frame to support the car. I am sure of that the final concept to be unvieled in Detroit in January will look similary, but will be much more refined.

I think that it is all the hype that is going around about what will the next camaro look like that made this such a big deal. Everyone wants to see it because we just can't wait any longer. But yes, for those who did see it, the prototype will probably look very similar to it, and that's why GM freaked out. Why else would they go ballistic over a picture of a prototype unless it is it.
The pictures I saw had arrows drawn on them and looked like they were referring to notes that were not in the picture...another indication that it might be very close to the real thing.
True, the picture may have been taken a while ago, so there could be changes from it to the prototype, and then it will have a few more changes for production.
I personally am still very excited about the unveiling because there could be differences so I think there is still plenty of anticipation there. plus...as far as I know there has been no word of engine choices yet. Another thing to look forward too.
I remember when the C6 debuted and I think they even had a live streaming video when they did it. Anyone know if they plan on doing something like that again with the camaro??

Re: Why was the image removed from the front page of the site?
a simulcast is a simultaneous broadcast.. when something is broadcasted over more than one type of medium.. for instance a football game being broadcasted over network or cable TV and simultaneously being broadcast over the internet via streaming video

It just seemed funny to me that after all the hubbub, suddenly it was okay to have a "clean" image (Where did they get that one!) of that car dangling on the front page of the best F-body website all day long, before it disappeared again.
Hmmmmmmmm.........
