I will be the first one around here with one, as long as I can get a V8 with at least 350hp and a 6 speed, I'm there. (providing I don't have to pay a "market adjustment" but that seems to be taken care of)

Re: Will you buy the first year or wait?

Our last few cars in the family have all been first year examples of the powertrain or model. All were terrible for repairs. All GM. 93 Camaro. 97 GTP. 2002 Escalade.

I will wait till the 2nd yr if not the 3rd.

I won't, but there will be plenty of people lined up to pay stupid markups just so they can have the "first 09 Camaro" on their block - much like some did for the Mustang.

I'm going to try so hard to wait. It will be easier if I'm not ready financially, but unfortunatley (?), it will probably be perfect timing.

I share most other people's concerns that ANY car in it's first year is probably a bit risky.

My decision will be made very easy if there is no Z28 model the first year.

I'll be waiting on the Z28 before I buy....unless i break down and just HAVE to have one.....and then I'll trade that one in on my Z.

Very hard to say at this point being so early on in the process of the car being made.
But I'd say as long as there's a Z/28 emblem on it, it'll find its way to my garage.

Yep, whenever Z/28 is on it, it can enter the driveway. If there is a T-Top option that I have to wait for, I would though.

Ive owned 5 fbodys and never had TTops yet, why does everyone else get to have them?

Re: Will you buy the first year or wait?

Provided I have the money to do so, I'd like an SS or Z28(whatever is faster ) with a 6 speed manual, no power options, a half decent cd player, Z rated tires, no flashy trim, etc.

I want to make my own 5th gen 1LE I might go so far as to remove the badges, but we'll see about that one. It would be cool to have one of the first 09 sleeper Camaros

Re: Will you buy the first year or wait?

If I got one, it would be 6-12 months after the z/28 is released. I want to make sure there aren't any issues with it, and how sensitive it is to mods. I'll compare it with the Challenger if they are in the same price range.
