Wow
Due to lifestyle changes (job, girlfriend) etc etc, I haven't visited these forums much over the past couple years. Especially since I jumped ship and bought a Subaru (yea yea I know I know). In my defense, I've owned in the past a 1978, 1981, 1988 (IROC L98), and 2002 Camaros, and a 1988 Firebird. I bought the Subaru cause I couldn't afford a GTO at the time.
My roommate showed me the Challenger concept in the latest Motor Trend, and I told him "what the hell, that looks too much like a Camaro concept I saw a while back, what a rip off". That's when he informed me a Camaro concept was out. Of course I immediately came to the one site where I knew I could find out if this was true, and see pics if so. Camaroz28.com, and this forum, as always did not disappoint.
So the point of this post? Besides signing the petition (which I did right away), I know some members of the GM staff read this forum. I just wanted to say that without a doubt, if this car is produced, I will be getting one. I will even bite the bullet and get the first model year, even though normally I'd wait til the 2nd or 3rd year of a new generation to avoid build issues caught in production. Why? Because I am a Camaro enthusiast at heart.
I can't even explain how excited I am to see the pictures of this concept. I can't wait to be behind the wheel of a brand new Camaro again.

Re: Wow
20, I hear you loud and clear. I was the same way. Look at my # of posts and my join date. As soon as I heard about the concept, I was back on here. I bought a Silverado because I wanted a V8 RWD Chevy with a Manual Trans. The Silverado was my only option. I love the truck, but as soon as I can order a Camaro, it's getting traded in.

Re: Wow
20 I remember you from the boards and know when you got the Subaru welcome back and I can tell you the car is even better in person as I was at NAIAS and the flash on my camera was about the first to go off when it came in the doors

Re: Wow
It's funny. For the past year I've been telling people how happy I am with my Subaru, because of the performance for the money I got out of it. Now I can't wait to dump this 4 door for a Camaro that actually had mid-range and top end pull, not to mention that funny feeling you get in your gut when you're in a car with large amounts of torque. Not to mention that just looking at the new design makes my pants fit kinda funny

It's an easy way to bring customers back to GM. Build the 'gotta haves' and they'll come running. This is precisely the reason why manufacturers release concept cars... it generates a lot of buzz around the whole community. I can't get the Camaro out of my head since the unveiling (well, actually, since the leak).
Oh, and welcome back.
