WOW !!!! info released today..............

This is it. The 2010 Chevy Camaro, revealed in all its glory. According to details we've seen, the new Chevy Camaro will come in LS, LT and SS — and be available in either 6-speed manual or auto flavors. Under the hood, a 296 HP 3.6-liter V6 or a 416 HP 6.2-liter V8 with cylinder deactivation. And check out that interior — looks very muscular to us. Weight? How about 3,747 lb — lighter than the Challenger. Full details below the jump.

Here's what we're told from the folks at CarTribe:

The Camaro will come in LS, LT and full-on SS specs and be available with 6-speed manual and auto transmissions. Under the bonnet sit fuel-efficient 296bhp 3.6-liter V6 and 416bhp 6.2-liter V8 engines, which can run on fewer cylinders to improve economy.
It shouldn't just be a burnout king either, handling should be pretty good thanks to an all-independent suspension setup and a StabiliTrak stability control system. 4-pot Brembo brakes front and rear shed the speed on the SS. Weight balance is split 52/48 front/rear too, but the Camaro is a porker, weighing in at more than 1,700kgs.

The interior gets cool LED lighting, leather seats on posher models and dials and gauges inspired by 1969 Camaros. The US gets the car in early 2009, while we'll get it some time after that. Super.

Funny that they don't mention the RS but the pictures are clearly of an RS.

They seem to contradict themselves in a way. They state that there is only LS, LT, & SS models, but in the pictures they shoud an RS. The RS package must be a part of one of the models.

Is this for real? I thought the details were supposed to be released on Monday or Tuesday. Also is the weight of 3747 for the V6 or the V8? I'm kinda skeptical about this, but we'll see how accurate it is on Monday.

Arrow NEWS: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro revealed!

Click above for a hi-res gallery of the 2010 Chevy Camaro

CarTribe has procured a few shots and the initial details of the production Chevrolet Camaro ahead of its official unveiling this Monday. According to their report, Camaro will come in LS, LT and SS trim, equipped with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. Of course, that doesn't account for the very-obviously-marked RS car that is shown in the official photos, so who knows what the whole story is.

Engine choices include either a 296 hp, 3.6-liter V6 or a 416 hp 6.2-liter V8 which will feature cylinder deactivation to boost fuel economy. Underneath the retro sheetmetal is a full independent suspension and StabiliTrak traction control system. Four-pot Brembo brakes are mounted up front on the SS variant, and the 3,700-pound coupe will reportedly have a weight balance of 52/48, front/rear. The neuvo-retro theme is carried inside with a gauge cluster inspired by the 1969 model, along with leather seats and blue LED lighting.

We'll have more specs and images as information becomes available.

Why are those pictures all in European measurements? You'd think that the pictures of the U.S. version would come out first. Also, is reverse on the left instead of the right?

Also, do you notice how the console gauges are all secondary stuff that you generall don't need to look at? It's nice to have the fuel and engine temperature gauges placed easier to see.

I hate the way that the stereo looks on the center stack, but oh well, can't have everything be perfect.

My bet: RS is an appearance package, available regardless of what trim level you get.

Meaning, of course, that you could get a plain RS, or an SS/RS. Maybe even a Z28/RS!

autoblog has more pics. the door look buttons are in the middle of the hvac. thought that was interesting location. traction control button right next to the power outlet. it looks like the cup holders are down enough that they should mostly be out of the way.

Im skeptical about the LS and LT but wwe will see

Wow, first there was the torque gauge, now we can see in the center display that hey are having a display for fuel economy... that's it... i'm repulsed, i'm disgusted, and i won't ever be buying a chevy again !!!!!!!!!! I mean damn, i've never liked blue and we can clearly see now that there is blue on the gauges... damn you chevy why didn't you listen to me... i simply cannot buy a car with a torque gauge, economy monitor AND blue display... chevy i hope you rot in hell for designing such a blasphemy of a car

/sarcasm

It's here, it's a beauty, its got class, style and everything we hoped for... i'm in love, really

Judging by that torque gauge this interior is also the 6-cylinder.
