PFFFFFFFFFF - who do you think I am??? Another dealer with guesses?



OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO DEALERS FROM GM:

Information on the internet is not official.
It is often speculation, often from supposed insiders, and photos of cars thought to be a Z28. None of this is correct.

Some sites GUESS....Others bring you the FACTS!

Question: Did this official statement from GM to dealers include the use of an apostrophe to pluralize the word photo, or was that just a typo when you made the thread?

[Or, did the writer insert an apostrophe because he/she considers the word photo to be a contracted form of the word photograph, even though photo has become a commonly used word?]

In any case, I wonder if GM is indeed leaning away from using the Z/28 name on this car. That would certainly fit with the statement that "NONE OF THIS IS CORRECT." Interesting.

 

Or maybe those photos are not a Z28... simply because it's a mule car? and/or testing car... and they won't give it the Z28 name until the production mode is created.... who knows....

 

Regardless of the spelling or text, what is being stated (or possibly paraphrased) is correct. As I said before, take that to the bank.

 

I now have "corrected" it to be EXACTLY how GM has it on their product posting.

 

BTW, I wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything. It would just bother me if an official release contained obvious typos. Unfortunately, it happens too often with internal communications I see.

 

Thanks for pointing it out though. I always have to read back through posts that claim a possessive with an apostrophe when they really mean it as plural.

 

I wonder if they will offer a stripped down 1LE package...SpEcUlAtIoN!!!!!!!
