Cat-Back Exhaust Option

Cat-Back Exhaust Option
How many have ordered, or considering, the Cat-Back Exhaust Option? It's one of several Camero Accessories offered.
Does anyone know what this exhaust offers vs. the standard (stock) exhaust and what the up charge would be?
I'm not looking for increased HP and torque performance...just looking to obtain the optimal sound from the V6
Thanks

Thanks, i just read page 14 out of 15 here:
http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-...-book/1085482/
At the top it says that these are items that are available over the counter at the time of purchase.... I would have ASSumed those items were for the V8 cars only, my mistake, only the shorty headers are.
Learn something everyday.... cat back exhaust... Arent the convertors right behind the factory headers on the 2010 camaros? So this would be 90% of the entire exhaust system replacement right from the get go????
Cant wait to hear how much they would ask for the cat back system when i recieve mine this spring

It's my understanding that with the addition of the cat_back exhaust and the Performance Air Intake it will add approx. 30-40 HP. A 330- 340 HP V6 would be awesome.
It would be nice if GM would assign an LPO to the 'over the counter' accessories. Even though they would still be dealer installed they would show up on the window sticker.

I would shoot towards 8-12 horsepower with the exhaust and air box. Heck, the 3.6 has already has a tuned dual exhaust with a h-pipe in it, what hp gains could you possibly get with a dealer installed exhaust? My main concerns would be the area between the factory headers and the cat, they look squished down IMO..
Only the dyno will tell.
The V6 car should put down an anemic 248 hp if its rated at 311 ('08 cts) horsepower and 20% drivetrain loss. Oof thats pretty weak IMO...

20% driveline loss is high in my opinion. You see that in cars running TH400's.
