It doesn't really matter to me, but I noticed it today looking at the full spec sheets listed on the site.. they said the V6 engine holds 7.6 qts of oil and the 6.2L holds 8.9 qts. What is the difference between these engines and like the 3800 Series II, and LS1's (besides power output..) that makes them require more oil? Used to change the oil in the 3800 and it would take maybe 4.5 qts...and the LS1 now still only needs 5.5 or maybe 6... its a 50% increase from those numbers. Or does a lot of oil stay inside the engine when you change the oil, and I just didn't notice. haha

- The LTT uses oil squirters to cool the bottom of the pistons to allow higher compression while still recommending regular unleaded.
- The LTT’s VVT Cam Phasers are hydraulically actuated.
- The L99’s AFM is hydraulically actuated.

Ahhh. see i didnt take into consideration its going to have 4 cams as well... as opposed to the older pushrod engines...thats a few more moving parts than before! but that doesnt really help the case for V8's with 9 qts of oil...but seems like the other posts cast some light on it. thanks folks
