Anyone know the alignment specs for the SS...as in Caster Camber, Toe, etc.???
Also does anyone know the maximum adjustments available on each of these settings?
Just want to see if things could be made more tolerable for a driving enthusiast by a simple alingment job.....of course better shocks, springs, bars, tires would be ideal, but until Chevy decides to offer them in some form of a "track pack", I wonder what hope there is.....

Doug, I remember us talking both in Detroit and Bowling Green about our high hopes for this car.
Sadly, I don't think adding max negative camber is going to get us that nimble car which handles as if it were an extension of the driver, that we were wishing for.

there is so much body role and soft springs, that aligning even to the extremes will not make that much improvement.
But you should be able to get close to -2.0 degrees front camber, caster is not adjustable unless you get our caster adjustable kit. and rear camber to the -1.7 degrees or so. this varies a lot depending on on the rear was made and all the tolerances there.

camber -0.75°, ±0.5°
caster +7.1°, ±0.75°
toe 0.1°, ±0.2°
I think other things need to be looked at, as I do not believe that an extra +0.6° caster and 0.1° less toe-in is going to change things much. Compliances, compliance steer, rear toe steer (vs the Mustang's very minimal axle steer), etc. Not much can be done about weight and wheelbase issues.

The biggest change that needs to be made to a stock Camaro is dial out as much rear camber as possible. The OEM Camaro plows when pushed past 7/10s. That is not a flaw. It is by design to keep drivers within their limits. Dial out as much rear camber as possible. This will reduce the plow. If you can get to 0 rear camber go for it.
Up front you can improve the on center feel with a reduction in toe. Take it down to ZERO or if you are willing to trade some tire wear add a bit of Negative Toe -- Toe Out. Just a bit will do wonders for the feel.
