$100 camaro

a friend and i just picked up a 2.8L multi year (front bumper and hood 91, body or atleast some or it 86 and title and maybe some fenders 87) camaro for $100 to have fun with for a couple weeks while we both have our cars apart. now it already made it through the first day so we got our moneys worth out of it and had fun beating on it lastnight but we figure for the last week or so we should get it running as good as we can b4 we kill it and part it out. the thing sucks gas like its its job and stalls when we try and park it, it also has alittle trouble at idle but drives fine. what all would you guys do to get this bad boy to purr, now mind you the car alltogher was only $100 so were not looking to dump money into it but it has become the joke of our car club so we want it to run good one night for a suprise

Re: $100 camaro

if your looking to get it running right just do the usual, check the plugs and wires and the air filter and all that jazz that would cause it to run rough, you can buy cheapie plugs and stuff just to get it runnin right

Re: $100 camaro

also check the cap and see if its corroded beyond belief on the inside or if any of the points are broken off. If youre getting an SES light then run the codes using the hotwire method described at the bottom of the FAQ section on www.thirdgen.org
