1988 Camaro RS motor swap ?
I have about 3000 dollars to play with.... and i really like my 3rd gen and want to keep it and fix it... but the 2.8L isnt cutting it... i was wondering what would be the best kind of 350 to put in it? Think i should goto a Junk yard and pull a 350 out and rebuild or look for a complete motor already put togather? would it run about the same kind of $$$???? Me and my dad are going to do all the work... my buddy has a shop where we are going to do the swap...

It all depends on what your future plans are after the swap. Do you want to keep it N/A or hopefully have forced induction or Nitrous one day? If so, build it up for that now so you don't have to worry about it later.
Of course I'm objective to this, but I always recomend a ZZ4 engine. They are kick *** engines.
If your worried about money, you also have to worry about the tranny and rear end. I wouldn't think those would last too much longer after going from a 2.8 to a 5.7.
