3" exhaust = 3" Y-pipe ???

I have 3" exhaust, does that mean I should have a 3" Y-pipe? the y-pipe is all rigged up, it was the stock one all welded and duct taped..j/k, but it is all welded with like 5 fittings

It would be nice if the Y pipe went from the header collectors to a 3" exit then connected to the 3" exhaust. Custom made with smooth bends would be nice. I'm not sure if Hooker makes one for their shorty header setup and for sure they don't make them for their Longtube setup. The guys at Mufflex might be able to help you out...check them out online! Goodluck
