350 rebuild

Ok i am new at this. This is my first rebuild and was just pondering a few things.

First, my goal is 300 hp. What parts do you recommend for an '87 tpi 350.
Second if I reach 300 do I need to replace my rearend?

Third will I have to replace the trany?

Re: 350 rebuild

Are you wanting to hit 300HP to the crank or 300RWHP? Either way I think the tranny should be just fine. The Rearend will probably hold up for a while, but I'm not sure on that.

As far as what you need. I think your basic bolt ons of headers, exhuast, intake you could add cam and heads and I think you would hit it np. There are more knowledgeable people on here that could answer that better.
