383 in 87 ?

Lightbulb 383 in 87 ?

Yo i just wanted to know if u guys think i should put a 383 in my 87 z28 instead of a 350? Its got a 305 now thats gonna die soon soo...... Thanks

If you've got the money for it, of course go with the 383. Keep in mind your whole drivetrain is going to have to be upgraded to live behind a 383.

I would go the 383 rout the torque generated by these engines is crazy! The tranny if auto will last a while as well as the rear as long as you dont use a true slick or do alot of smokey burnouts.

Thats what I'm doing right now!

Smoke shows aren't that hard on hte dif. Its the hard lounches and hard cornering that kills the dif.

I've been told if you rebuilt the 700R4 it will hold up and the same goes for the nine bolt!
