383 hp numbers ?

OK I know I asked this before But I found a set up I`m going to use unless I have to go with a emission set up

I`m hoping for 400hp/420lbs ft

or am I dreaming with this set up? this is my 1st engine build

383ci

Dart iron eagle heads 215cc ports and a 64cc combustion chamber and 2.05/1.60 valves good to 7000rpm

Holley street dominator dual plane 0-7200 rpm

Holley 750 hp double pumper

Compcams XS274S cam 236/240* duration in/ex
.501/510" lift in/ex
110 LSA

I`ll also run a 14X3" K&N
Hooker 1 3/4 supercomps
3" duals
2 3" cats
2 3" cut outs

I want an engine thats really good down low off of idle, thats why I went with a duel plane but I also want high RPM`s I think this combo will do what I want

If you have any ideas on how I can get most of the power down low I`d be happy to hear them

I guess if I were you I wouldn't go with that big of an intake valve, but its not up to me.

When I start my project I'm gonna stick with a 1.940 intake and a 1.600 exhaust.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.

As far as having gobbs of low end torque and lots of high rev HP, its not possible. You can't have the best of both worlds. You can have great low end torque and lots of high rev HP or vise versa. But you can't have both man, sorry.....

I want a 2.02 intake valve but the iron eagle thats good to 7000rpms come with the 2.05

maybe I might have to go with the eagle 200cc thats good to 6000rpm they have the 2.02`s in them

but I want a red line of 7000 but 6000 is good to

I know but I`m trying to have it somewhere in the middle like 2500rpm but still have some power up high to

what I`m trying to say is that I want it to lauch hard and smoke the tires off the line but not have it fall on it`s face after 5000rpm`s

I wouldn't even think your motor would make power past 6K.

That combo will make 400 hp and 420 tq. The 2.05 is not a big intake valve, go ahead and get the heads.

With that cam the motor isn't goin to make any power past 6K. I like all the parts except for the dual plane. Are you gonna be towing with this or driving around and racing mostly?

I'll give you a reference on my old carb'd 383, Brodix T1 217cc intake runner, flow 300@ .600 lift, 10.8:1, Victor Jr., 750 Gold Claw, Hyd Roller 242/248 .575/.599. That combo made a corrected 518HP 6000RPM and level'd till 6200 and fell on its face after that. Torque was 490@4900.

I think you can make your desired 400HP with the parts you have listed easily, I would suggest a single plane intake though.
