4th gen exhaust on 3rd gen
I am looking at a magnaflow stainless steel cat back but they do not make it for a 3rd gens only for an lt1 or an ls1, i was just wondering if anyone knows if the lt1 cat back with 1 CAT will fit an 86 with 1 cat, i just really need to make sure the I pipe is the same shape, im not to concerned about how the pipes bolt together because i can just do some welding

I installed an LS1 Mufflex catback on my car, myself. The only difference is the cat mount and the hanger type/location. Any competent welder or exhaust shop should have no trouble with it.

I installed the LS1 SLP Loudmouth on my car. Like Marc said, I had to replace the hangers with those of a LS1 car. I cut the intermediate pipe and used a band clamp to get it up to the muffler shop where they welded the two pipes together.

i have an ls1 bassani catback on mine. they had to make up some custom hangers just after the muffler, the tips angle down (look like ***) and it doesnt fit as well as it should. but its there.

^You have a bassani? Nice..
How does it sound? I have heard them on Stangs, and they sound really nice. Keep telling my friend with a F150 Pickup to get a Bassani. (His truck has the 4.6, so it woud sound really nice)
