4th gen rear in a 3rd gen?

my friend just bought a ford 9" for his 95 camaro. he has the old rear from the car and its a 3.73 posi. he isn't asking much for it and I want to buy it but I am not sure if it will fit into my 90 camaro.
thanks

It'll bolt right in but it's almost 4" wider so your back wheels are gonna stick out a little farther.

Run a search this has been covered about 7652846 times.

well you could do two things here 1. you can just get new wheels for the back with the correct back spacing. 2. or you could get your rear fenders flared out

why the wheel will hit the fenders? and do they have the same lug pattern? I am getting the back of my car lifted up, would that be better instead?
thanks

when I said flared I ment so the wheels stay in the fenders. If your car has not been lowered they will not hit with the 4th gen rear, just stick out.

Do a search for a guy named 91DubZ28 (I think) over on TGO. On his site, he's got a pretty good pic of his with a 4th gen rear. I don't think it looks bad at all.

I'm actually about to buy a 3.73 Posi 4th gen rear myself...Hope it's not the same one you're talking about!

It doesn't look like theres much of a difference, actually i like the difference. How much is one worth from a 95 z28 in good shape?
