'89 IROC backend higher than '92 RS> Spring Rates?
My boss has his '89 IROC for sale (every option you can get, White, $4100, etc.). Anyway I parked next to him today at work and his back end sat higher than mine. What's the deal? Do IROC's have higher spring rates? We both have 16" wheels and 50 series tires. Thanks

YEs IROC Springs are firmer however they are .5" lower than other models that are non-IROC-Z package equipped. Why is yours lower? It probably has more miles, has been loaded heavier to wear them down more, or something else abnormal is happening.
My IROC has 1.25" lowering springs on it all the way around and my sisters 92 RS sits LOWER than my car. Hers has 135,000 Miles, mine has 60,000. That's the reason in this situation.
IS it cool to be worn out and lower? NO! It's actually dangerous considering the car handles softer/worse and things are probably more likely to break. Goodluck!
A Full or near full or empty gas tank has an effect along with added weight in the hatch area(ie: stereo equipment).
