89 IROC....tell me something about his car
Just bought it, its a 350 automatic. Black w/ grey leather and cloth interior. Dont know too much about the F3's and parts availability. Still get all parts thru GM? Or are there aftermarket house's popping up for these cars? Could you get a rear mount cd changer in these cars? There is a pig tail wire stickin out in the back for one. Were 4 whl discs std?

Congrats on getting one of the higher end Iroc's. Leather was an option that I have only seen on a few cars.
Aftermarket parts: Its a huge business. GM has cams and stuff like that such as the ZZ9 or ZZ4 cams. There are aftermarket companies for cylinder heads such as Dart and AFR. They make some awesome heads. You can also get Vortec heads and manifold from GM. They flow relatively well. Basically, anything you want is avaliable. Heads, cam, gears, intake manifolds,injectors,headers.... They are all specifically made to fit these cars. Prices aren't too bad. I spent $3000 and am now solidly in the 13's. Other guys with "younger" motors have done it for a lot less. The sky is the limit bro. I figure for another $2000 I could be down in the 12's very easily. Add Nitrous and 11's are a button away.
Welcome to our generation.

My iroc with the lt1 has grey leather, sweet. There are a lot of aftermarket parts for these cars. Some are very expensive and some are resonable. Check out what everyone has and ask around about certain parts that people have on there cars such as whats in my sig and everyone elses. Or you can go to www.tpis.com or some other wed sits and they can help you out. A good suspension is a must on these cars since there getting to be kinda old now. Do some sub frame connectors and control arms, panhard rod, torque arm, new struts, shocks, handling springs. That is a good start. Anyways if you have any question about any certain kind of part im sure we could all help you out a lot more. later

For a steering wheel you should get a Grant GT. I have one. Its awesome . Since you have the quick ratio steering box, the smaller diameter of a Grant GT would make it effectively an even quicker ratio steering box. Its too cool when you start whipping through curves at high speeds.
