aftermarket computer chip
#16
When I used fasterproms and they did it over the phone it was OK but not great. After a couple of tries at it where they refined it from the base setting they made based on estimates of my engine, it actually works quite well. If someone sends you a chip and doesn't make changes based on readings, it probably won't be the best it can be.

true, very true. however it depends on the knowledge of who is behind the phone as well. with tpis i used all their parts, they had complete specs and we even did the fun back and forth bs.
however they are different since they don't seem to know what they claim. i was amazed that their attempts were just slight changes from the factory setup on a completely different motor entirely. although it probably didn't help since their numbers were way off on all the parts as well but that's a different story.
point being, do your homework and get some knowledge on the matter. don't expect anything and understand that the best way is to have the car in hand.
