Best way to separate Tire/Wheel
Tire/Wheel:
I've got all I need to polish my wheels, expect polishing compound but that's cheap, and now I need to know how to separate the tire/wheel. I want to avoid taking it somewhere because that's $$$ that can go somewhere else. Anyone have any ideas. Not only do I need to separate them I need to get them back together too.
Polishing Wheels:
Do my RS wheels have paint under the clear coat or is it bare metal? If bare metal (or once I strip paint), can I use a quality polishing compound with my Dremel and polish the wheels, not sanding anything? Afterwards, paint and re-clear. Would that look good or am I going to have to spend countless hours sanding? Thanks

It's real difficult to take tires off without the right equipment...front the money and have them taken off. It shouldn't be very expensive.
Assuming you have the stock 91-92 RS/Z28 wheels, the machined faces can be polished after minimal sanding with about 400 grit sandpaper. The sides of the spokes, and the grooves, need to be sanded smooth if you want them to shine. There is no paint under the clearcoat (unless you have the wheels where the cast surfaces are painted to match the body.)
