it better be

1990 5.7L camaro horsepower rated at 245@4400 please tell me this is at the wheels.

All Horsepower/Torque numbers QUOTED by the CAR MAKERS are at the FLYWHEEL and are NOT rear wheel. If you want the actual RWHP numbers have your car tested on a chassis Dyno. If you want a estimate take 20% off those numbers.

Why? it may seem low compared to a lot of the new cars on the road, but I dare you to find something with more factory rated torque. The late L98 cars were very good performers dispite the reputation they seem to have.

Nope. Should be in the 200+ range at the wheels.

I know that in the 70's manufactures would under rate the hosepower in cars to keep insurance costs down. Im not sure if they still do this though.
