Big Block Exhaust
Got the motor running.... sounds real real health.... i gues over 650 lift cam will do that. I want dual exhaust with no cats and no one will make them for me... I dont like the Mufflex system... what should i do

650 lift? Mine's only .638 but I have my eye on a .714 roller cam. Lunati 50222.
I don't have any exhaust. I have some custom turnouts bolted onto the ends of the headers. I used to use some bullet mufflers with some turndowns but I wanted to reduce more weight and the mufflers were heavy. I just put up with the extra noise of the open exhaust now.
There's not a lot of room under a third gen to run true dual exhaust. There's some pictures in old issues of Hot Rod showing the first mockup of the Hooker Supercomp headers. The driver side went over under the driveshaft to join up beside the passenger side pipe then both tubes went over the axle.
It's a little outdated but what about some lake pipes down the side of the car? The Corvettes and Cobras did that because there was no room undernieth.
