Re: Brake Conversion Question
Just swap out the rear ends lol Thats what my brother in law did with his 90 Vert. the only thing he had problems with was the E brake cable was either to long or to short I dont remember what.

Re: Brake Conversion Question
the hardest part about bolting in a 4th gen rear end, is the brake lines and the ebrake cables
the rest bolts up directly
the 4th gen rear end is slightly wider and uses a different backspacing, if u use stock 3rd gen rims they will stick out just a little

Re: Brake Conversion Question
4th gen rear is 4" wider then 3rd gen(2" on each side)
I know 2 guys that stuff 4th gen rears in their 3rd gens, and it looked terrible, with the 3rd gen offset wheels,
either swap in a disc rear from a 3rd gen, 89+ with big rear brakes would be best,
I think thunderracing.com sells a drum to disc conversion kit for like $1000,
my vert is stock drum, I got a 88 3.45 disc 9 bolt, then got the bigger brakes off of an 89(11.5 inch rotor I think), now I'm collecting the parts to swap the front to LS1 style fronts,(would go C5 but still run my 16's october-till nice weather comes)
