I put the Edelbrock 1406 600cfm.

Matt,
About the Gears, put some 3.73's in there. Then headers, 3" catback, SLP Two on the Left is one of the better ones, and a hi-flow 3" cat.

Definitely hit the suspension/bolt on stage before you tear into the engine, but once you do - if I had to do it again - I'd run either a ZZ4 cam or a Compcam 2050 for LT1s.

Well, I had a 3" catback, 3" cat, Dynomax shorty headers and the TPI. Carb setup probably would sound meaner and pull higher up. Mine stopped pulling at 4800 or so. When I had the Edlebrock on there, it would pull to 5500 or so, but I was only getting 10-15mpg, that's why I opted for TPI, and also TPI looked cooler. I had problems though, if you notice, there is a lot of smoke coming out of the tail pipes, that is raw unburnt fuel, car was running pig rich due to the ecm running in limp home mode.
the chips I was burning were bad. Windows XP and the software version of my Pocketprogrammer didn't work together. It looked like it worked but didn't. I found out the day the motor started to die that the chips were bad.

It is a lot of work and expensive. For the money spent, I should have just bought a 350 and stuck my carb on it. But I have the LT1 now.

If you wanna check out more video, go here to my sites video directory,
http://www.transamws6.com/video/

There is a vid of me tearing up a built 72 Chevelle on the highway, my TPI shooting flames from the throttle body, some friends tearing up a parking lot, etc...

My car has been down for almost 17 months. I am getting very anxious to get the car done.
I am going to finish building the fuel system this week then I'll concentrate on the engine and dash wiring.
