Question Can a TPI with this many miles handle this?

My friend has a L98 TPI 2-bolt main with about 125k and was wondering if his motor could handle the following:

Replacing pistons with 10.5:1 compression ones
New connecting rods
Performance heads and cam
Accel Super Ram intake

I told him I thought you guys would reccomend a NEW CAR, or if anything a NEW ENGINE...but he wanted me to post it anyway so here it is.

All he's doing there is rebuilding the engine. What are you worried about?

Heck rebuilding the engine is NOTHING but time & money.

My 87 Irocz has 140k miles on it & just got a HSR system put on it. Yea when I have the money I will rebuild it. but that will not be for another two years or so.

I'd rather have a good seasoned block to rebuild than a brand new block anyways.

Um, why is he worried about even 125K miles? It's a L98, a roller motor, those things go to 200K plus miles without a major problem. BUt a good rebuild with stronger parts never did anyone wrong.

Should be fine but I'd replace the bearings and the oil pump if I am that far into it.

Just do the heads and cam, the bottom end will be fine.
