car running hot

alright guys, i just got my car back from getting a whole new front end for the second time. i drove it a couple days and it was fine, well now the days are getting much warmer than it was when i got it. two days ago i noticed the temp gauge buried past the 260 mark, i went ahead and through a new thermostat and a couple gallons of coolant in. so i'm driving it today and it does the same thing, i check the resevoir and the coolant is gone. any ideas guys, and like i said i put a couple gallons of coolant in since yesterday, and another gallon in today.

just found a leak, but its coming from undercarriage right under the drivers side.

maybe the fans are not coming on?
If they are ground them out so they run all the time or put some switches to them.

Fix the leak. Then the coolant will stay in and cool the engine.

Also check the airdam under the radiator. If it's missing it will cause heat problems on the highway.

A starter is an easy job, don't pay someone to do it for you
Just follow the leak, and figure out where its comming from

he's replacing one, that was under warranty, that went bad that he put in, he's doin it for free. i figured while its in the shop he might as well take care of that leak.

well i just picked it up from the shop, someone who worked on the car, possibly before i had even bought it, had left a block heater on the car and it was causing the leak. so thanks for everyone's input on this thread.
