Car starts, then won't start, repeats..

Regarding the fuel injection service, just called PepBoys and they said they do it on the car and they don't know of any shop that does it out of the car. How do they really clean them then if they are installed???
Regarding the pickup coil, but wouldn't the fact that the car has consistent spark tell me it's nothing to do with that? Or could I could there be some erratic behavior that I cannot possibly see with a light gun? You said $15, but I thought they were like $100 or something?? I guess I'll call around.

Doing it in the car means they hook a can of cleaner to your schraeder valve and cut off your fuel pump. That way the combustion process takes place with their solvent. It is a better way than the in tank ones but the best is to take it out to a shop where they can test the thing and clean it ultrasonically and tell you if one injector is flowing much worse than another or it is stuck open. Try RC Engineering, I have used them and found them to be good. They sent me a printout that told me what those injectors flowed at before and after. I felt a huge difference in my other car.
