Re: To carb or not to carb....
omg he showed us all the light of carbs. im gona go kill myself now for realizing i was so stupid before thinking that my efi having no problems what so ever is obsolete compared to a carb and that only a carb has the power to throw you back in the seat.

Re: To carb or not to carb....
The thing that I thought everyone would have brought up was forced induction. EFI ushered in a whole new age of FI systems when it came out in the 80s. John Lingenfelter even said the biggest advantage of EFI was how turbo/blower friendly it was compared to carbs.

Re: To carb or not to carb....
Its not realy a restrictor plate because its not constant. It is adjustable from the cockpit while the driver is running down the track. Some guys will use it after they launch the car, others use it at the end of the track to slow the car down so they don't run over their E.T. I'm a little confused because fi is not used in pro stock only sportsman which is braket racing. So why isn't there a product to help you run consitent E.T.'s like they have for carbs?

I don't know, the guys I know who bracket race get close to their dials without some sort of cockpit limiter. It doesn't seem necessary, but I guess it is one way to hit your dial.

Re: To carb or not to carb....
Tons of guys with automatics run transbakes, and many people who convert from a 4L60E to a TH400 will use a reverse manual valvebody. I don't know how many "gutted" cars with fuel injection are out there, but I remember people bitching at an outlaw event that the winner was gutted and the runner up was full weight.
