There is a company in Japan that is making them but why not just get a RTM fiberglass one? The weight difference between the RTM and CF isn't worth the extra $$ IMO...

TPI383 on thirdgen.org has discussed making them, and his preliminary pricing isn't much more than the fiberglass hoods out there. Do a search over there and you should come up with the thread.

VFN Fiberglass___CarbonFiber Hoods

VFN Fiberglass company actually makes a carbon fiber 82-95 Camaro.

I wrote to them last year about a carbon fiber hood and they will make one , but it's about double the cost of their fiberglass version. If I remember correctly, it was around $400 for fiberglass, and around $800 for the carbonfiber hood.

Put made with Carbon Fiber on something and people think its the best thing to ice water in Hell. A big waste of money on any part for a 3rd Gen car. Let the imports corner that market.

...or not. I wouldnt mind having the luxury of carrying my hood with one hand, esp after taking that stocker off. Jesus christ there's 40 lbs of mass to be saved there.

If the price came down to 400-500 and the quality was OK I'd probably be up for one in the summer.
