Changing Speedometers?

I just bought a 1984 Camaro, and it has the 85mph speedo. I noticed that on ebay, people are selling the 145mph speedo, and say it will work with 82-89 Camaros. Is this the case? How hard is it to do this swap? Since the title has 0 for the miles, I don't think messing up the milage is that big of problem, or is it? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It's not that hard to replace speedometers. You'll need to remove the cluster and remove two screws then replace with the new speedometer and put the screws back in, then reinstall the cluster. Hardest part about removing the cluster is the speedo cable. A long flathead screwdriver will do the trick though. Also there are places that can reset your odometer to your actual miles.

Umm if it is a electric speedo you will need to buy the pickup some wires and pull the old speedo cable out...
