Check Engine Codes

i understand the concept of how your suposed to check the codes with the wires and stuff. but is it just me or is there no decoder for all the other codes diplayed besides the first one number 12?

basically can anyone tell me how im suppoesed to determine what codes are being flashed?

This is the only thing that gm has ever done that actually makes sense and youll probably kick your self for not thinking of it.

code 12 = Flash pause Flash flash
1 flash pause 2 flash =code 12

another example code 26 = flash flash pause flash flash flash flash flash flash.....2 flash pause 6 flashes = code 26 get where im going with this one?
