cold start hesitation

ok, here's the deal
my car is in my sig, i havent had real trouble but i noticed that my starting time (it is like freezing temps here right now) is like 2 seconds or so, when i started it last year (in the same temps) it would be like only a second or less- i'd just like to know what the deal is with this
also, when i start it up it's fine, that's all good
but when i go up the small hill on my street and stop at the stop sign, it hesitates before going anywhere, then it doesnt do but maybe once more and she runs good as ever
any ideas what this could be?

o, and i searched, couldn't find anything

Sounds pretty normal, fuel doesn't atomize or ignitewell in a cold engine, and it's not a good idea to get on it until it's up to operating temp. Cold oil can leave a motor unprotected...

my car is a bit different

it used to start fine, all the time
then it would take awhile to start (4 seconds or so) whether it was hot or cold.. but only after it sat for a bit

now it seems to be starting pretty quick when it's cold, but still 4 seconds when it's warm (after it's been sitting)

I know the fuel pressure is low when the engine is shut off(lower than normal), but i'm not sure why it is starting to start faster when it's cold outside

Have you checked your plugs and wires? Also, if the car uses a distributor, you may need to check your timing and see if it's off a bit.
