Talking Completely Stock L98

I bought my 92' Z28 back in April and lost my license in June. Just now got them back and was wondering what some mods are that could total around $500-$600 that would increase my rwhp.

headers are the best single mod you can do for our cars. if you want to bump things a bit more and dont want to deal with tuning, try a COMP 08-300-8 and some 981 springs. this will keep it in the no hassle area but increase the fun.

Sticky tires are important. The only thing TPI engines make is low end torque so to make it any fun, you need traction. Find a used set of 255/50/16 drag radials for $150-200.

Porting the plenum and port matching the runners is free if you have a grinder and bits.

Good air filters??

I have a used set of Hooker long tube headers if you want power on the cheap. They require getting rid of the emissions equipment though. Requires a custom y pipe too.. I'm not sure who makes a good stock style header/y pipe these days..

The most cost effective power is nitrous. 100hp of nitrous really really makes you smile, especially when combined with sticky tires. It won't set off any codes, it can be removed, and doesn't affect gas mileage.
