Re: Cooling Problems

also how many prongs areee on the switch it seems to only have 2 in the picture.
from the picture i would have to say that the switch will not work. you will need at least a 3 prong switch.

Re: Cooling Problems

Due to my overheating and taking it to several dealers, I decided to try removing the radiator and clean debris between radiator and cowling.

Re: Cooling Problems

OK, so i finally got my fan going by just hooking up a switch. so now i have complete control over it and the ecm has none, but when i took it out for a drive, it still hovers around 220 which is still way too hot. it will usually be around 200 when im driving a maybe a little lower when i have the fan on or just as hot as without it. im not sure what to do now? i have a 160 thermo in it but that doesn't seem to make any difference, it will still easily overheat im sure and is still running too hot. what should i try next???

Re: Cooling Problems

i was thinkin about doin the same as well. ill do a coolant flush as soon as possible but where did you get your radiator at? ive looked around and they aren't exactly cheap. i was also thinkin about a new water pump as well, or do those really crap out that easy?

Re: Cooling Problems

i got my radiator at auto zone for 99 bucks. you could also get one of the newer style radiators. its something like a 4 chamber or something like that. someone else would have to elaborate.
