Couple of questions
ok first I got an air cleaner simmilar to this one today, but there is no way for me to connect the sensor that is in the factory air cleaner, or the thermac assembly. considering I live in deep south Texas and from my understanding that the sensor and thermac assembly is to help with cold temp starts and to help smooth the engine wile running cold I shouldnt have a problem should I?
Also I found out today the hard way that my gas gauge doesnt work right(it reads full, but the car was bone dry)
do you all know of any thing I could try to fix it? my lights for the gauge's dont work right eather(half of the gauge cluster turns off and I have to hit the dash to get them to come back on) and the head lights are stuck on brights but I can deal with that, I just dont like not having any idea how much gas is in the car!

Thermac and it's control valve: you (like myself) live in the South where it hardly ever freezes so you don't need it. Just make sure you cap the vaccuum port.
Gauges: if hitting it helps then you most likely have a loose connection somewhere. Take your gauges out and look for loose wires and harness connectors. Here's a tip: your gauges have 2 main connectors and each half of the cluster gets power for it's lights from one of them. Whichever side of the cluster is iffy, that's the connector to investigate.
As far as the brights go your hi/low switch in the steering column is prolly busted. It's a real pain to fix cuz you have to take the column apart to do it.
