Alot of people are seeing valve float above 6000RPM's. Like I said if I shift above 6000RPM's my car slows down. I don't have any problem with low end torque with the SuperRam as I have to run DR's to keep from smoking the tires when ever the throttle is dropped. The first 10 feet is 1/2 throttle or I will smoke the tires thru 2ed gear.

Took a look at your site and you done alot of great work to the Iroc!!

You may want to check the seat pressure of the springs. You would do good it the seat of them are at 120lbs to 130lbs.
The other thing is the prom tuning. I'd call Ed Wright up and ask about his chip and the addition of the SC. Also you may need to go to larger injectors, say 30#ers. If you could get some datalogs you might be able to see what is happening too.

This doesn't give you the answer your looking for, I'm sorry, and only things to check but it may help narrow it down to one thing.

OH, BTW, what gears do you have in back?

Good Luck!

The Scoggin Dickey Vortec TPI intake should work just fine with a SuperRam upper intake. Is there a reason why it wont?

Also, you may think your stock bolt-on TPI engine pulls to 6000 rpms, but that doesnt mean its making more power up there.

Thanks for the kind words. I am not having a problem with valve float myself I just know a few people with 3rd gens that are above 6000RPM's.
I talked to Ed Wright and he is burning another chip for the supercharger install. I am only running 5 lb of boost so the 24lb SVO injectors are ok. I am running a 255 PSI pump and fuel pressure is fine. I am going to try and get to the track next weekend and see what the new times are. I am hoping for high 11.8 to 12.0. The 12.9 was all motor.
Alot of time and money was put into the car but it never gets finished. I purchased the IROC new in 87 and just keep changing things. It is tough on the wallet being a car guy.

I always thought the SuperRam replaced the complete intake. I was thinking it was one or the other, not both.

the biggest disadvantage of them is the lack of power at high rpm's (they are basically out of breath by 4,800 rpm

however, they have a massive amount of torque!!!!
