Doors won't lock
I am new to the third gen camaros and was wondering if anyone else has a problem with their door locks not locking when they push the power lock switch?I havent taken the door panel off yet but was trying to figure out if they just need lube or if I need new actuators? Can someone please help?

Are both Not locking or just one? If both check the one of the Bright metal breakers in the fuse box. Maybe it's loose, never seen a bad one, but you never know?...If there's 2, switch them.(power windows & locks)
If just one then I'd check for power at the solenoid when the switch is pressed.
Does it move in the unlock direction? then maybe the switch...

lol, that happened to me before. i was trying to freak out one of my friends by sticking my key in the lighter plug and pretending to get electrocuted... only thing is, that i blue out the accessory fues by doing so. doors wouldn't lock, and neither would the roof light inside the car. check it out, it's under the dash on the driver's side... it's labeled too so it shouldnt be hard to find. take it out and see if there's a burnt hole in the metal part in the middle of the fues. if there is, you need to get a new fues. if it isn't... then i'd just lock and unlock the doors manually because i wouldnt want to take off the door panel

Let me clarify. If I am sitting in the car and I go to lock the doors the doors will try to lock but will not lock all the way. Now if I go ahead and push the lock all the way to the locked position, then I use the switch to unlock them it works just fine. Thats what tells me that it is not a fuse.

Mine does the samething. When I push the lock button several time the pass side will lock but the drivers side won't. I can see it trying but it doesn't do it. It is the samething trying and unlock them.
One reason I hate power accessories!

Yeah, that sounds like things need lubed, but NOT the solenoids, the lock mechanisms. Get an oil squirter and lube them with 10w40 motor oil, whatever you do don't use a grease like white lithium, it'll thichen over time an reall stick things up...
That's assuming the locking rods to the manual locks aren't bent or anything...
