Question few $100, 88 camaro won't start

Hey guys I know theirs probably already been a forum done on it, but I need help!!!!!!! 315 tune port 88 camaro, irock. Heres the situation:
Brand new:
fuel pump
starter
fuel filter
3 year old:
performance distributer
and performance core
performance spark plugs

fuel pump and starter work for sure, and the injectors are spitting. Engine turns but won't crank. Been doing it since I got it. Replaced fuel pump twice. brand new cooling sensor, fluids FULL! I'm clueless.... And right after I just fixed up the interior too! HELP! solutions?

Check the fuel pressure. A new pump doesn't mean crap if you're going through a leaky system or a clogged one. Check it at the schrader valve.

Pull the plugs and do a spark test. Make sure you're getting spark.

Couldn't you overbore a 305 to 315 if you really felt like putting forth the effort?

If youre sure youre getting fuel it's time to check for spark. When you say the injectors are spitting... how did you check that (just curious)

You may have a bad ignition module, or coil or something along those lines.

Re: few $100, 88 camaro won't start

I have a 87 w/305 and only 40000 miles on it and mine did the same thing and it ended up being the distrubutor. Put a new one in and it fired right up. Hope that this will help with your problem.

If you can see the injectors "spitting" then it's TBI not a TPI.

What does that mean? If the engine turns over it "cranks".

It's a carry over from the days when you had to insert a manual crank bar to turn (crank) the engine, it means the same thing.

Re: few $100, 88 camaro won't start

I know what "crank" means. I was asking the original poster what he meant by saying the engine turns over but won't crank.
I'll assume he meant the engines turns over but won't start.
